About Our School

We are a large 3 form entry Primary School. Kingsholm C of E Primary School is situated in the heart of the City of Gloucester.

We are a member of the Gloucester Schools Partnership which is dedicated to helping raise the achievement of all children in Gloucester's schools network.

Our buildings are set in grounds of some 6 acres that provide both space and a full range of outdoor activities for the children.

We are very proud of our school environment and have many different areas for the children to learn in. The spiritual area is somewhere the children can go to reflect and learn in a peaceful and relaxing location.

The field, playground and MUGA offer wide open spaces to play and learn in and our classrooms are designed to maximise our learning experiences.

We have a wildlife area with a pond and hide, an allotment with a greenhouse made out of plastic bottles and two fantastic willow sculptures.

We are a National Advocacy schools for the National Education Trust hosting a yearly conference here.

We have a cooking area, excellent computing resources and a fantastic sound and lighting system in the main hall for live performances.

We also have a chargeable Breakfast Club and After School Club which runs everyday. Our very popular Walking Bus collects children from their homes every morning.

We are within walking distance of many local attractions eg. the Cathedral, the Docks, Gloucester's museums and  the GL1 Leisure Centre. We use these resources, and more, to enrich the childrens' curriculum giving them many first hand experiences.

We are very proud to have close links with our close neighbours, Gloucester Rugby Club. The school also raises considerable funds by acting as a car park on match days.
