Welcome
Nurturing Young Minds and Fostering a Love for Learning
At Willow Nursery, part of Drybrook Primary School, we are devoted to nurturing children aged 2 to 4 years in an environment that inspires a love for learning. Our approach to education encompasses all facets of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring a holistic learning experience for our youngest pupils.
A Rich and Supportive Learning Environment
Our team of dedicated educators crafts high-quality opportunities for play, exploration, and learning. We provide a blend of indoor and outdoor environments, where children can develop their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills through hands-on experiences and guided activities. Our inclusive and supportive setting is designed to meet the needs of every child, fostering their growth and development.
Laying Foundations for Literacy and Multicultural Awareness
At Willow Nursery, we are proud of our comprehensive literacy programme. Utilising the Read Write Inc reading scheme, we lay the groundwork for essential literacy skills. Additionally, our Spanish lessons introduce basic language concepts, enriching children's cultural understanding and broadening their global perspective.
Seamless Transition to Primary Education
We recognise the significance of transitioning to primary school and provide tailored support to ensure children are well-prepared for this important milestone. Being part of Drybrook School, our nursery children benefit from a seamless transition into reception, providing a strong start to their educational journey.
Engaging with Families
With an open-door policy, regular updates through Tapestry, and communication via Dojo, we keep parents closely involved in their child's progress and experiences. This partnership with families is integral to our approach.
Celebrating Individuality and Progress
Each child at Willow Nursery is celebrated for their unique strengths, interests, and achievements. Our curriculum supports their progression, laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning and success.
Flexible Options for Families
Willow Nursery offers flexibility to families, accepting both the 15 and 30 hours funding schemes and participating in the tax-free childcare program.
Our hourly rate is £5.50, with session times being AM from 8:40 am to 12 pm, PM from 12 pm to 3:15 pm, or a full day option.
Enriching Indoor and Outdoor Learning Spaces
Our indoor environment includes sensory play, maths exercises, and imaginative play areas, while our outdoor decking area features a sandpit, water tray, and mud kitchen. The larger playground, field, and forest school area provide endless opportunities for physical activity and nature exploration.
Dedicated Key Workers
Each child is assigned a key worker, who plays a crucial role in building strong relationships with the child and family, providing personalised care, and monitoring progress. This close connection ensures that every child's unique needs and interests are catered to, while also supporting and engaging with parents.
At Willow Nursery, we offer an inviting, nurturing space where every child can thrive, explore, and grow, setting the stage for a lifetime of learning and discovery.
